One of my favorite things to do when the weather starts to perk up is to explore some of the best rooftop bars in Paris. I love the glowing gold hues at sunset, the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the distance, and the soft (sometimes raucous) hum of conversation drifting through the air. Interestingly, some of the best views in Paris seem to pair perfectly with a cocktail in hand! Whether you’re after a romantic spot for two, a buzzing terrace with friends, or a quiet perch to watch the sky change color, these rooftop bars each offer their own flavor of Paris. Here’s where I’d go — and where you should too.
Romantic & Scenic 💕
Perfect for date nights, proposals, or watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at sunset.
L’Oiseau Blanc
This rooftop bar feels like a quiet conversation with the city. You’ll find it on top of The Peninsula Paris (one of the most luxurious Paris hotels with Eiffel Tower views), not far from the Arc de Triomphe. It’s refined, calm, and perfectly timed for sunset. The view? IMO – one of the best Eiffel Tower perspectives around.
They open late morning and go through dinner, so you can swing by for a midday glass or a full-on evening.
Les Ombres
If you’re looking for that classic Paris view — the Eiffel Tower right there in front of you — Les Ombres delivers in spades.
Set atop the Musée du Quai Branly, it’s elegant but not stuffy. Come for lunch to beat the crowd, or book ahead for twilight.
It leans more toward a restaurant than a bar, but you’re welcome to pop in just for a cocktail.
Le Rooftop – Kimpton St. Honoré
I love that this one’s discreet — not many tourists stumble across it. Up on the 10th floor, you’re surrounded by rooftops, domes, and that golden Paris light. The drinks are playful, the crowd local.
Open afternoons till late, though weekends fill fast. Grab a seat early and just sit back. Plus, it’s walk in only.
Terrass” Bar – Montmartre
A personal favorite. High up in Montmartre, this spot overlooks Paris like a smug cat on a windowsill. You’ve got Sacré-Cœur to your back and the city stretched below. They open around midday, and it’s just as charming for coffee as it is for cocktails. It’s casual but carries that old Montmartre soul.

Perruche
Above Printemps Haussmann, this leafy terrace is always buzzing. Think garden party meets fashion week. The drinks are citrusy and fresh, and the crowd is a polished mix of locals and globetrotters. It’s open all afternoon and evening, but early is best if you want a quieter table. Don’t miss the peach spritz.
Bonnie
Right on the Seine in the Marais, Bonnie is a rooftop for the cool kids (and those pretending to be). The retro-futurist design and mirrored ceiling make it feel like you’re inside a disco ball. Views stretch across Île Saint-Louis and beyond.
Dinner service kicks off around 7, but come early for a cocktail and that golden hour glow.
Skybar Paris – Pullman Montparnasse
32 floors up. That’s the main draw. You’re higher than just about everything else in the city, and you feel it. The vibe is sleek — think Tokyo energy meets Paris elegance.
DJs on weekends and a solid list of signature cocktails. Open evenings till late. Get a window seat if you can.
Le Perchoir Ménilmontant
An east-side original, this one kicked off the rooftop craze in Paris years ago, and it still holds its charm. Raw edges, string lights, and a casual crowd—it’s the Parisian version of a Brooklyn rooftop. It opens in the late afternoon and rolls into the night. Bring a light jacket; it gets breezy.
Laid-back & Casual 🌿
Chill rooftops perfect for sipping drinks with friends or unwinding solo.
Zoku Paris Rooftop
A laid-back perch with a kind of Scandi charm. Board games, plants, and a fuss-free atmosphere. You can work, sip, snack, or sit in silence — no one’s judging.
Located near Porte de Clichy, it’s open from morning through evening. It’s a good spot for digital nomads and introverts who like a view.
Khayma Rooftop – Generator Hostel
You don’t need to be staying there to swing by. This spot is casual and open, especially fun in the summer. Overlooks Sacré-Cœur from a totally different angle. Cheap drinks, fun energy, and fairy lights when the sun goes down. Show up early if you want a seat.
Créatures Paris
Creative plates, all-vegetarian, and a rooftop that floats above the city’s busiest department store. It’s a seasonal spot — only open in warmer months — but the crowd is always photogenic, the cocktails fresh, and the views are wide open.
Expect a queue if you don’t book!
Sequoia Rooftop Bar
Right above the Kimpton St. Honoré (yes, again — it’s that good). Sequoia is the seasonal twin to Le Rooftop. It’s got more greenery and a garden-party feel. Opens late spring through early fall, from afternoons to night.
Grab a spritz and enjoy the soft clatter of plates and glasses — always a comforting sound.
Rooftop Molitor
Poolside rooftop at a historic hotel in the 16th. The setting is lush, the crowd a mix of hotel guests and in-the-know locals. Food leans summery: think grilled octopus and cold rosé.
You’ll want to book if the weather’s good — Parisians know where the sun hits just right.
Lively & Social / Party Vibes 🎉
Fun, upbeat rooftops with music, mingling, and a great crowd.
Mama Shelter Rooftop
Funky, loud, full of board games and personality. This isn’t your delicate rooftop with porcelain cocktails — it’s more sangria-in-a-carafe and “who’s on the aux.”
Open in warm months, with a fun brunch on weekends. Expect a younger, rowdier crowd — in the best possible way.
Créatures d’Hiver
Same rooftop as the summer version, but wrapped up in cozy décor and winter charm. Think mulled wine, chunky blankets, and views framed by fairy lights.
Only open in winter, obviously, but a great alternative to the usual indoor bars.
Le Georges – Centre Pompidou
Technically more of a restaurant, but the rooftop bar area is too good to skip. It has a futuristic setting, sweeping views, and some of the best people-watching in town.
Book ahead if you want a seat near the edge. Great for a late-afternoon apéro before a walk through the Marais.
